I am interested in joining a Monday class, what materials should I bring with me?

The Monday classes will vary according to the session.  We notify members a few days to a week before,  but there will always be spare paint, paper, etc that you can borrow. If in doubt, please ask.

You are always welcome to bring something else you are working on; sometimes just being with like-minded people is enough. You do not have to join in.

I may be interested in some of your classes/demonstrations.  Can I be put on your mailing list without becoming a member?

Yes, please reply to this email asking to join our contact list stating what you are interested in and that you are happy for to keep your contact details for this purpose.

My friend/family member does not have online access.  Can they still join and be on your mailing list?

Yes, we can send out membership and exhibition application forms along with updates to our programme.  We will not be able to send weekly reminders.  They can join at any of our meetings.

Do I have to attend all meetings?

No, you do not have to take part in all of DAG’s activities.  You can choose to only attend classes, only demonstrations or only take part in the exhibitions.  In order to make it worthwhile continuing with the different aspects of our activities, we need a reasonable attendance/participation level.

Can I take part in your exhibitions?

If you are a member you will be sent application forms in the run up to our exhibitions/open studios. As a non-member it will depend on the number of member entries.  You will need to wait for an open call if we decide to go down that route, but this may not happen.  If you wish to guarantee a spot in our exhibition it is best to become a member.

Do I have to live in Great Dunmow to join the group?

We have members both in Dunmow and in outlying villages and nearby towns. If you are interested in art and pay your membership,  we are happy to have you join us.

How do I contact one of your artists?

Please email with the artist name and we will pass on your contact details.

Where can I find an up to date programme of your activities?

Details of upcoming sessions are on our home page.

Do you have any artists that would be willing to take on a commission?

We have some artists that take on commissions.  Please reply to this email with a few details of what you would like and we will pass on your request to members for them to contact you.

How is my contact information used?
